Turtle nesting is an exceptional experience on the seashore of our World Natural Heritage Site, the Isimangaliso Wetland Park (previously St. Lucia). Turtle season dates is from 1 November to 28 February. These tours can be done either on the back of an open game viewing vehicle or on foot at Sodwana Bay.

The beach is protected in the areas where the turtles nest, to ensure the safety of these amazing animals, but special tours are arranged with experienced qualified guides for you to be able to enjoy seeing this remarkable phenomenon.
