Congratulations On Your Engagement

Your Wedding Day, Held by the Wild

We would be honoured to host the beginning of your marriage. At Leopard Walk Lodge, your celebration unfolds in a private pocket of Zululand bush — surrounded by rare sand forest, towering fever trees, and the gentle sounds of the wild. It is a place to slow down, gather your closest people, and make memories that stay with you for a lifetime.

Tucked into the heart of the Kingdom of the Zulu yet easily reached from both Durban and Gauteng, the lodge offers a rare kind of wedding: exclusive, unhurried, and deeply personal. No crowds, no conveyor belt — just you, your guests, and the most beautiful corner of the African North Coast.

The best love is the kind that awakens the soul and makes us reach for more, that plants a fire in our hearts and brings peace to our minds. Nicholas Sparks
Why Couples Choose Leopard Walk

A Wedding Unlike Any Other

An Exclusive-Use Sanctuary

Book the lodge and it is yours alone. Your wedding party has the run of a private reserve — no other guests, no sharing, no interruptions to your day.

A Setting You Can’t Recreate

Exchange vows beneath ancient fever trees in one of the last remaining sand forests on earth — a backdrop no marquee or ballroom could ever match.

Stay, Don’t Scatter

Five luxurious suites mean you and your nearest can stay together. The celebration carries on long after the last dance — over breakfast, by the fire, on a game drive.

Spa & Honeymoon Built In

Begin married life without leaving. Retreat to a private Secrets of the Forest chalet with its own outdoor jacuzzi, and treat yourselves to spa treatments brought to the lodge just for you.

Big Five Wedding Country

Set between iSimangaliso Wetland Park and the Hluhluwe-iMfolozi reserve, your guests can turn a wedding into a safari getaway they’ll never forget.

One Wedding at a Time

Yours is the only wedding we host that day, so the whole lodge and our attention are entirely yours. No rushing, no overlapping events — just your celebration, with the space and privacy it deserves.

Perfect for Intimate Weddings & Elopements

Some of the most beautiful weddings are the smallest. Leopard Walk is made for intimate celebrations, elopements, vow renewals and micro-weddings — where every guest is someone who truly matters, and every moment feels personal. If you’ve dreamed of marrying somewhere wild, private and unforgettable rather than in a packed banquet hall, you’ve found it.

Wedding Questions, Answered

How many guests can you host?

Leopard Walk is an exclusive-use venue, ideally suited to intimate weddings of around 40 guests — the size where the day feels most relaxed, personal and unhurried. We can accommodate larger celebrations of up to 80 guests on request, so do chat to us about your numbers and we’ll let you know what works best. Five luxury suites mean you and your closest can stay on site for the whole celebration.

Is accommodation included for the couple and guests?

Yes. Your booking includes exclusive use of the lodge’s five luxury suites, so you and your closest family or friends can stay together for the whole celebration. Additional guest accommodation nearby can be arranged on request.

Can we bring our own caterers and suppliers?

Yes. As an exclusive-use venue, Leopard Walk gives you the freedom to bring your own caterer, bar service and suppliers, so you can shape the menu, drinks and styling exactly the way you want. We provide the setting and the suites — a beautiful blank canvas — and you bring the team that makes the day yours. Happy to point you toward trusted local suppliers if you’d like a starting point.

Who handles the planning and coordination?

Leopard Walk is an exclusive-use venue, which means you have complete freedom to plan and run your day exactly as you picture it. You (or your wedding planner) arrange the styling, suppliers and coordination, while we provide the lodge, the suites and the setting — and we’re on hand for anything venue-related. It’s your day, shaped entirely your way.

What does a wedding here cost?

Weddings at Leopard Walk are exclusive-use, so the whole lodge belongs to you and your guests alone. Packages start from R51,000, including exclusive hire of the venue and two nights’ bed & breakfast across all five luxury suites (sleeping up to ten guests). A small conservation levy of R50 per person per day applies and is payable on arrival. Every celebration is different, so your final quote is tailored to your dates and numbers — send us your date and we’ll put a personalised package together for you.

When is the best time of year to marry here?

The bush is beautiful year-round. We’ll happily talk you through what each season looks like.
