Whale Watching from St Lucia
Head out on a boat trip into the ocean of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park World Heritage Site to see humpback whales on their annual migration along this coast.

Humpbacks off the iSimangaliso coast
Whales migrate past this stretch of coastline from mid-May to mid-December every year, to calve and breed in the warm waters of the Indian Ocean. They travel as far as Mozambique and Madagascar before making the journey back to the Antarctic.
You may be lucky enough to see a 40-ton humpback whale breaching just 50 metres from the boat, or swimming alongside the vessel.

You may also see pelagic seabirds, dolphins riding the bow of the boat, sea turtles in season, sharks, marlin, whale sharks and other marine life.
Trips run with a licensed whale-watching operator and last about 2 hours.
