Conservation Levy
At Leopard Walk Lodge, we are privileged to be nestled within one of South Africa’s most ecologically diverse regions—the Elephant Coast. Over the past two decades, our dedicated efforts have transformed previously degraded land into a flourishing wildlife sanctuary, now home to over 350 bird species, rare mammals, butterflies, and numerous red data species.
To sustain and protect this haven, we charge a conservation levy.
This contribution directly supports:
- Habitat restoration and preservation of our unique sand forest and surrounding ecosystems.
- Anti-poaching initiatives and wildlife monitoring to safeguard vulnerable species such as the leopard tortoise, pangolin, and suni antelope.
- Environmental education and community outreach, including programs for local youth and support for rural schools.
- Ethical wildlife management, ensuring that no hunting or trading occurs and that animal populations are relocated responsibly when needed.
Your support helps us continue our mission to give back to nature and preserve this sanctuary for future generations. By staying with us, you become a vital part of this journey.
