You will be based in the Magnificent area of a World Natural Heritage Site in Suni-Ridge Wildlife Reserve (the reserve that surrounds  Leopard Walk Lodge) As a much needed Volunteer you will be reassured that you would direct your participation to that area of concern which inspires you to come to Africa and thus make a positive and significant difference through your efforts. You are invited to choose from a broad scope of concern that is offered in The Suni-Ridge World Natural Heritage Volunteer program, you may also which to gain experience in  various areas of operation and you will make the choice:

Often rhino with exceptionally long horns are seen during game drives in Hluhluwe Game Reserve.  We are able to assist you by arranging game viewing in an open game drive vehicle to Hluhluwe Game Reserve with a qualified guide or you may self drive through the reserve.  Read the rest »

Sunday afternoon we found a giraffe kill right next to the road in Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve.
As we approached it there were people infront of us who were holding hankies over their noses as they were in an open game drive vehicle  -  Suddenly the wind blew in our direction and we got the smell which was quite overpowering! Read the rest »

Guests seeking deeper meaning to their visit may wish to have close contact and interaction with wildlife.  Although little can match the thrill of seeing wild elephants in Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve, guests are also afforded an opportunity of close contact with 2 mature elephant that were orphaned and hand reared but are now free to range in a private game reserve that is over 2 500 hectares. The hunting industry is a threat to South Africa’s trade and tourism. It tarnishes South Africa’s image and reputation.
