African Honeymoon Suites
Our glass-walled honeymoon suite was open but still private! And waking up with impalas just outside … priceless!
You will love the ambience of the glass-walled honeymoon suites which have their own private outdoor Jacuzzi and sundeck.
Nestled in complete privacy within the forest, they are much-loved venues for honeymooners. Spend your honeymoon in:
- the Secrets of the Forest Suite or
- one of the Secrets of the Forest A+ Suites.
Honeymoon Safari in Africa
Cuisine
On request, guests can enjoy private candle-lit dinners at the deck of the honeymoon suite, where a menu of delicious South African cuisine is provided. Your favourite choice of cocktails and refreshments, including Cape wines is kept chilled on ice.
A short walk through the sand forest takes you to the Moonrise Deck where you can relax in the open lounge. Drinks are served from the bar and honeymooners can enjoy breakfast and dinner on the deck overlooking the waterhole, where wild animals come to drink.
Activities
During the day you can select various activities in and around Suni-Ridge Private Wildlife Reserve, such as the guided bush walks that offer a local cultural interpretation, and wonderful photographic opportunities. Unlike other wildlife reserves, and thanks to our animal-friendly policy (read more about this on our Suni-Ridge website), it’s possible to get quite close to wild animals on foot.
Big-5 game drive in nearby Hluhluwe Game Reserve
Other activies include open-vehicle game drives to nearby “Big Five” wildlife reserves, e.g. Hluhluwe Imfolozi, visits to the Isimangaliso Wetlands (World Natural Heritage site), canoeing at Muzi Pan with crocodiles and hippos, snorkelling or scuba diving at Sodwana Bay and visits to Zulu Cultural centres where tribal persons are still living and practising age old traditional customs.
